1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Anonymous User Identifiers: We use Firebase Authentication to create anonymous user accounts. These identifiers are not linked to your personal identity and are used solely to track story generation limits across app installations
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous analytics data through Firebase Analytics, including:
- App usage events (button clicks, feature usage)
- Story generation metadata (theme, length, language, character count)
- Subscription tier information
- App performance and error data
Story Generation Counts: We track the number of stories generated per user to enforce subscription limits. This data is stored in Firebase Firestore and synced across your devices
Purchase Information: When you make in-app purchases, Apple processes the transaction. We receive information about your subscription status but not your payment details

Stories: All stories you create are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not have access to the content of your stories unless you explicitly share them
Settings: Your app preferences are stored locally on your device
API Keys: Secure API keys required for story generation are stored in your device's Keychain, encrypted and accessible only by the App

To provide and improve the App's functionality
To enforce subscription limits and prevent abuse

To generate stories using third-party AI services (DeepSeek API)

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Firebase (Google)

We use Google Firebase services for:

Firebase Analytics: App usage analytics
Firebase Firestore: Cloud database for story generation counts

3.2 DeepSeek API

We use DeepSeek's AI service to generate story content. When you request a story, your story parameters (theme, characters, setting, language) are sent to DeepSeek to generate the story content. We do not send your personal information to DeepSeek.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

Stories are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers
API keys are stored securely in your device's Keychain using iOS encryption
All data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit
We use anonymous authentication that cannot be linked to your personal identity

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is designed for children and families. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
We use anonymous authentication that does not require personal information

Stories created by children are stored only on their device and are not shared with us

Stories: Stored locally on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App
Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase according to their data retention policies (typically 14 months)
Story Generation Counts: Retained in Firebase Firestore to enforce subscription limits. This data is not deleted when you uninstall the App to prevent abuse

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and review your locally stored stories and settings
Delete your stories at any time through the App
Uninstall the App, which will remove all locally stored data
Contact us to request information about data we may have collected

Note: Because we use anonymous authentication, we cannot identify specific users or delete specific user data from our analytics systems. However, all analytics data is anonymized and not linked to personal identity.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

As necessary to provide the App's services (Firebase, DeepSeek API)
As required by law or legal process
To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
